What happened

A reader’s own account, submitted to Cowboy Bike Broke and published as the rider’s statement of their experience; it has not been independently verified. Cowboy has a right of reply through the contact page.

The rider says they own a Cowboy C4 ST, bought on preorder, and that it is affected by Cowboy's frame recall: the same defect documented in report 001. Their submission was brief, so in June 2026 we put questions to them to establish their own situation.

The rider answered on 22 July 2026, after this site was archived. Their frame, they said, had not failed: they were still waiting on the recall remedy. Asked what Cowboy had actually done for them since the recall — a replacement, a repair, a refund — their answer was "nothing". And they are based in Glasgow, Scotland: as documented in report 001, which covers the unactioned UK recall in full, no UK recall hub had opened as of July 2026, while hubs opened in six continental cities, so the recall remedy was never within their reach. Nothing here has been independently verified.

The rider answers: frame intact, no remedy, and no hub within reach

In answers received after this site was archived, the rider said their frame had not failed and they were still waiting on the recall remedy; that what Cowboy had actually done for them since the recall was "nothing"; and that they are based in Glasgow, Scotland, where no UK recall hub had opened as of July 2026. The unactioned UK recall is documented in full in report 001.
